“The Talking Wind” and “The Dying Flame” Aaron S Wood

The Talking Wind
A quiet whisper, the wind speaks to your ear. telling you the secrets of the world. where it’s been and what its seen. the soft breeze tells hundreds of stories. but we are to deaf or ignorant to listen about its thrilling escapade. Maybe someday, we will learn to slow down and open our ears.

The Wolf’s Howl
Beautiful the howl,
Peaceful and graceful as it goes,
as the wolf sings on.

Through the mountains and rivers
and across the spotted sky.

The Dying Flame
Fire glows bright, illuminating the empty void of darkness. No two flames flicker the same, just like every bolt of lightning flows a new vein in the sky, branching out like the top of a tree and vibrating the thin, still air. The fire dims, growing evermore darker until there is not a flame or ember left, for they have fallen into oblivion.
